Nokia optical management system consists of:
WS-NOC centralizes multiple network management and operations functions in one unified platform for the Nokia Optical portfolio. It allows network planning and operations staff to plan, deploy, and manage the network over the total life cycle. WS-NOC has REST APIs for software developers to integrate with, see WS-NOC REST API Documentation for details.
WS-RC interworks with WS-NOC to form a carrier software-defined networking (SDN) platform that unifies service automation with network optimization, allowing network operators to deliver on-demand network services cost-effectively and with scalability. Using WS-RC, operators can define, provision, and activate network services across networks that span multiple layers from Layer 0 to Layer 2. WS-RC is scalable and based on standard protocols with industry standard REST APIs, see WS-RC REST API Documentation for details.
WaveSuite-Optimizer is an independent application, which is installed on top of WS-NOC. WaveSuite-Optimizer deploys the optimized power, gain, and feasible values on the Network Elements. It provides the links based on the possible options provided by the application. It also provides options to optimize the channels and links. The WaveSuite Optimizer application has REST APIs for software developers to integrate with, see WaveSuite Optimizer REST API Documentation for details.
