Service Fulfillment vs Original Service Fulfillment

In NSP 21.6 the Service Activation and Configuration feature package there are two distinct Service Fulfillment applications. The now named Original Service Fulfillment (Original SF), first introduced in 2017, which provides a web-based user interface and a REST API for service fulfilment tasks has been replaced with an intent-based service fulfilment application that is now identified as the Service Fulfillment application on the NSP Launchpad.

The new SF provides a RESTConf API with abstract and extendable YANG service models as well as an enriched web interface that provides greater flexibility and customization to operational needs. The new SF also provides a new dimension to tackle service configuration drift with configuration assurance with auditing and alignment abilities across classic SROS , Model SROS and 3rd party networks.

The 21.6 labs have only SF apps available. If the original SF application is required for this release then please ask your account team to contact central NSP PLM for this request.

The 21.11 labs and later have both Original SF and SF apps available.

Note

Original SF is targeted for removal in an upcoming NSP Release. Customers using the Original Service Fulfillment application can continue to use it until advised to migrate to the new application. Consult your regional business centre PLM for more information.
