The port configuration of the first port added to the LAG is used as a basis to compare to subsequently added ports. If a discrepancy is found with a newly added port, that port is not added to the LAG.
You can configure the Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) to maintain link configuration information, attach or detach ports to an LAG, and determine the state of an LAG.
Configure LAGs on Ethernet ports in network mode. All ports in an LAG must be the same type, have the same configuration, and must be set to full duplex.
Also defined in this package is Multi-Chassis LAG and its associated objects. MC-LAG is a non-standard extension to the IEEE LAG standard for providing node level redundancy in addition to link-level redundancy for link aggregation groups. It is a method of providing a redundant L2 access connectivity that extends beyond link level protection by allowing two systems to share a common LAG end point.
