Package dhcp
The XML API OSS interface uses the dhcp package to create and manage local DHCP Servers
in NFM-P and on the routers.
Local DHCP server enables the network provider to distribute the IP addresses and option assignments
directly into the network.
Local DHCP server can be allocated on a routing instance or on a VPRN service site.
The configuration of the local DHCP server entails both a dynamic assignment of address pools
plus default options, based on the creation of new service sites or interfaces,
and the creation and management of the "Subscriber Databases" known as "Local User Database".
These databases enable the local DHCP server to make an address allocation based on the GI or an address
allocation decision based on a subscriber identification matching rule.
Local DHCP server once created can bind to VPRN/IES access interfaces and network interfaces.
