Package aclfilter

The XML API OSS interface uses the aclfilter package to configure the ACL IP and MAC filters. The ACL IP filters control network traffic into or out of an interface or circuit based on IP matching criteria. The ACL MAC filter controls network traffic into or out of an interface or circuit based on MAC matching criteria.

The filter entry matching criteria can be general or specific but all conditions must be met for the packet to be considered a match and the specified entry action performed. The process stops when the first complete match is found and the action defined in the entry is executed.

When an interface or circuit is not configured with a filter policy, all traffic is allowed on the ingress and egress interfaces. By default, there are no filters associated with services or interfaces.
